Nice to meet you!

My name is Kaitlyn and I am the owner and lead event planner at KH weddings and events.

I was born and raised on the shoreline of Stonington, CT. As a kid I loved crabbing in the summer, Broadway plays in the big city and riding bikes until the street lights came on.

I began my career working at Mohegan Sun as an Executive Host and an Arena Club manager, working events of all kinds from NYE galas to private VIP events. I have always had a love for weddings and after helping my sister plan her wedding I decided to leave the casino and join one of the most successful catering companies in South Eastern Connecticut. While there I learned the ins and outs of the wedding planning process and developed relationships with local vendors. In 2015 I decided to open KH weddings and events and it has been an absolute dream!

Weddings are my passion :). Being apart of such a special day and developing friendships with my couples is what makes this job so amazing.

Wedding day action shot :). You can find us behind the scenes holding the brides bouquet and the couples drinks in between photos. Oh, and in that big black bag holds ALL my secrets. A sewing kit for when a button pops off, the brides lipgloss to touch up between photos, bobby pins to pin up those loose strands, tissues for the mother of the bride, bandaids for the bridesmaids feet, a lighter to light those pesky candles that keep blowing out, deodorant to stay fresh, a shout stick and toothbrush to get out those dirt stains out, mints for those close up moments and a handful of other things to make your wedding day absolutely perfect.
